SYSL is governed by the Executive Board and Club Council. The organization may, from time to time, appoint advisory boards or other committees to help advance the mission of the organization.

Club Council is composed of the delegates from Founding and Full Member Clubs, Provisional and Affiliated Club member representatives, and the Executive Board.

SYSL is a certified affiliated member of New Jersey Youth Soccer Association (NJYSA).

The Advisory Board shall provide outside guidance to the Club Council and the Executive Board. This Board can be composed of up to five (5) independent members, all of whom are appointed by the Executive Committee, with consent of the Club Council.

SYSL Referee Coordinator is appointed by the Executive Board and is responsible for coordinating referees on the league's behalf in partnership with each Host Town for the SYSL Games.

Disciplinary Committee is responsible for receiving complaints, disputes and all matters raised that may require disciplinary action and / or review by SYSLNJ. All disciplinary cases will be tracked by this committee and catalogued for precedence, consistency, and enforcement provisions.

The SYSLNJ Executive Committee delegates its disciplinary authority to this appointed committee which is composed of three (3) to five (5) Members with a designated chairperson. This committee shall be the highest level of appeal in SYSLNJ for matters referred to it.

Communications Committee are Volunteers from within our League and are responsible for coordinating and overseeing League Communications, Social Media and News Letters on the league's behalf.

Competition Committee Are all Volunteers from within SYSL, and will be responsible for reviewing and Recommending New Playing Rules that SYSL abides by. This will be done on a yearly Basis.

Tournament Committee are Volunteers from within our League and are responsible for coordinating activities on the league's behalf in partnership with each Host Town for the SYSL Cup Tournament.

Fundraising Committee are Volunteers from within our League and are responsible for coordinating activities and Fundraising on the league's behalf, in order to provide an exciting and great experience for all the kids in our League.

Finance Committee are Volunteers from within our League and are responsible for coordinating and overseeing League Finances on the league's behalf.

Technology Committee are Volunteers from within our League and are responsible for coordinating and overseeing League Website and APP's on the league's behalf. This is create a better and more user friendly experience for all our Volunteers
